Garden Party Wedding

Becca and Tommy's wedding was my first full wedding that I led, and it couldn't have been a better experience. During our initial consult call they told me they had a "Wedding in the Garden" theme, perfect for April.

The Surrey House in McKinney had the perfect lawn and gazebo for this sweet, intimate wedding.

I'm a sucker for details.

This wedding was so personal. It was clear that everything was done by Becca and Tommy. It was so intimate and cozy. Also, Becca lost her mom some time ago and her older sister Rachael made her a sweet charm for her bouquet. I love being able to tell people's stories through the smallest details.

So Personal.

Friend's kids as flower girl and ring bearer, dad of the bride reading for the ceremony, a close friend officiating. It couldn't get more up close and personal than that.

The Portraits

One of my new favorite things is going off premises for the couple portraits or doing them later. A very popular studio, Lemon Drop Studios, was right across the street from the venue so we did their wedding portraits there. It perfectly fit the garden party theme with the indoor florals and outdoor greenhouse. And it was so much more relaxed and intimate. No onlookers for the portraits!

Party Time!
